gabby windey for governor of CA
and other fantastic ideas

Bonjour,
It’s good to be here again with you all. I took a week off twitter dot com and I feel I have lost my edge.
But don’t fear. Upon logging on, my feed looked something like this: insider trader, ICE murder, something something Claude, heated rivalry, horny tweet, new food pyramid, ChatGPT Health, heated rivalry, horny tweet, etc. So I guess we’re so back?
ily,
Big news from the Polygon team yesterday. They announced their Open Money Stack, a plan to bring all money on-chain. “Building on the foundation set in the last six years, the Open Money Stack will power the next era of money movement, creating the most significant evolution of money of the last 50 years.”

There’s no shortage of internet discourse, but one thing emerged that couldn’t be ignored.

This week, two legacy, problematic internet sensations claimed they might be running for political office in the state of California.
First up: Trisha Paytas for Congress.
For those unfamiliar, Trisha Paytas is an OG content creator who got her start on YouTube in 2007. Her work lives at the intersection of mukbang, satire, and performance, deeply embedded in meme culture. Even if you’re kinda offline, you’ve likely encountered a remixed, deep-fried version of her work. She’s someone who’s so canceled she’s uncanceled.

She’s deeply problematic, but the combination of shamelessness, trolling, and provocation has cultivated a devout audience that sees her as a performance artist of our digital age. In an era where Donald Trump could be reelected, maybe Trisha Paytas’ many and varied hateful jokes wouldn’t matter, though this is certainly not the precedent I’d like to set.
All 52 California congressional seats are up for election during the November 2026 midterms. So idk, stranger things have happened!
That’s not all from the Golden State: Spencer Pratt for Mayor of Los Angeles.
For those who are unfamiliar, Spencer Pratt rose to fame on the reality TV show The Hills in 2007 as the widely hated boyfriend of Heidi Montag during her plastic surgery spree. They got married in 2008 and have been in and out of the public eye ever since.

About 10 years later, in 2018, Spencer began consistently going viral on TikTok for his hummingbird videos. I think something about him and Heidi still being together, having two kids, and him being a big bird guy, hit just the right “huh?” on the timeline for him to amass a renewed found fandom.

Both he and Heidi had another big moment in 2025, when they tragically lost their home and most of their belongings in the Palisades wildfire. Spencer took to social, telling fans they were house-poor and now had nothing, and encouraged them to stream his wife’s 2010 album Superficial.

It worked and her album briefly hit #1 on iTunes music, beating out Bad Bunny. To which Spencer replied in a reel:
“Yeah, Bad Bunny. Yeahhhhhhh, Bad Bunny. See you in Colombia or whatever, I don’t even know. All due respect……
Thank you everyone. Who needs a house? Who needs clothes? Who needs anything but this level of clout? Thank you. Everyone made this happen. You have no idea how much this means.”
All this to say, the man understands the internet and his passion for local government stems from a very personal place.
With Trisha Paytas for Congress and Spencer Pratt for mayor, I’d like to throw out a few suggestions for who should run for governor of California, since it’s an election year and Gavin Newsom can’t run for a third term.
Gabby Windey, previous Bachelorette who dated 25 guys at once and later became a lesbian icon, married to famed comedian Robby Hoffman.

The devil works hard, but Kris Jenner works harder. I don’t even need to say more here.

Lisa Rinna, pop culture mainstay, and long time star on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, who once basically openly threatened to kill her co-start Kim Richards. And who did this at her friend’s baby shower.

I’d say, a fantastic start to 2026.
